This blog is about to my journey from being a sheep, to learning to become a Sheepdog, Prepper, and Survivalist. My only hope is that this will pass on information to others that may decide to take on the transformation or to those already in the process.

I would like to state that I am not a tinfoil wearing, Men in Black paranoid type of individual. I am not a member of an organized “militia group” that sits around all day and bitches about the government ( just sometimes…lol). I do not advocate the overthrow of the US Government, just reform to line us back up with what our founding fathers had envisioned.

Now, the term “Sheepdog” is described in the section- ‘On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs’ in the book On Combat by Lt. Col Dave Grossman. He describes “Sheepdogs” as those who chose to go about armed and ready to resist those who would bring evil to those who are good.
Sheep are described as your average person that goes through life hoping nothing bad happens to them and goes around saying ” thank god it wasn’t me” when it happens to someone else. They exist in a grey area of life living in denial that anything  could ever happen to them. There’s never a thought to prepare for a violent encounter, a natural disaster, medical emergency, or even a flat tire on the way to wherever. They only prepare their lives or food stores from a day to only a few days in the future. The sheep want to be protected, although most of the time denying it, and are under the impression that no matter what happens someone will come and save them from whatever misfortune they’ve run across.
Sheepdogs however are the people that will take an active role in protecting the safety of others. When everyone else is running away from something, they run toward it, to stop it, or help with the aftermath. Sheepdogs have within them the attributes of the warrior classes. They are humble, kind, courteous and honorable people.  They do the right thing, simply because it’s the right thing to do. They protect people with their very lives if necessary. They think differently than others because they know that the ability to make things right may only rest with them, and that the wolf may come knocking at any time. And though the term sheepdog used to be reserved entirely for the military and law enforcement, the term is becoming more and more common among the civilian masses.

Although I have been through training at a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center it is the civilian version of sheepdog that I will focus on. I will do reviews, How To’s, and try not to put you to sleep when I babble on about something.

I hope you enjoy.
