The M1 Garand is chambered in .30-06 Springfield rifle cartridge. It has been called “the greatest battle implement ever devised” by General George S. Patton. The Garand officially became the standard service rifle of the United States Armed Forces in 1936. and was replaced by the M14 in 1957.
I’d sell all my shotguns PLUS my semi rifle to have one of those! History in solid form… my father schlepped one through Korea.
